Concord Christian Academy Places the Emphasis On Christ in
its Admission Policies. Our academy seeks to enroll families whose
desire first and foremost is that their child receive a quality education
within a Christ centered environment. It is for this reason that our
Academy seeks families of the Christian faith who are supportive of a Bible
believing local church ministry. Students enrolling in grades seven and
above are asked to share in writing their personal commitment to Jesus Christ
along with securing a letter of recommendation from their pastor or youth
pastor. Our desire is to assist families as they seek to raise their
child in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. Concord Christian
Academy admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all
the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made
available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the
basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin in administration of its
education policies, admission policies and other school administered programs.
Concord Christian Academy Places Emphasis On Christ in its Curriculum.
Our commitment to educating revolves around keeping Biblical truth at the
center of all knowledge. It is for this reason that our Academy uses
books and teaching materials that are published with this goal in mind.
The majority of our teaching material is purchased through
ABeka Book Inc., a publishing ministry of Pensacola Christian
College. The ABeka program has over the years proven to be a blend
of academic excellence built upon Biblical truth. Students who have been
taught under this program have excelled over their public school
counterparts. It is our desire that every student in every grade level
begin the school day with prayer, patriotic and Christian pledges, and a
challenging lesson from God's Word.
Concord Christian Academy Places Emphasis On Christ in its Staffing.
Part of keeping with providing a Christ centered environment for learning
involves placing Christian individuals within the classrooms and other work
areas. Our Academy is committed to employing teachers who have made a
personal commitment to Christ and view their teaching as a ministry to
others. Our staff seeks to be a role model that exemplifies the teachings
of Christ.
Concord Christian Academy Places Emphasis On Christ in its Activities.
Part of any well balanced educational program includes extracurricular
activities. Our Academy is committed to providing activities that exalt
the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Each year students in grades first
through twelfth compete against other Christian schools who are part of the
Delaware Association of Christian Schools in the areas of Art, Music, Bible,
Speech and Academics. Students in grades seventh through twelfth have
various activities available to them. We encourage these students to be
involved in their church's youth program or they are invited to be a part of
Concord Baptist Church's youth program which emphasizes evangelism and
fellowship with other Christian teenagers centered around Christ honoring
activities. Also available to these students are sports programs in the
areas of Girls Volleyball along with Girls and Boys Basketball and Soccer.
